Tube Bending Forming Method
There are two main types of pipe bending processes commonly used at present.
First: Use tools to directly bend pipes.
Stainless steel pipe bending and cold bending generally use this method.
Second, use heating equipment to bend after processing.
Hot bending, medium frequency bending, and alloy bending all use this processing technology.
Six methods of pipe bending
1. Stamping method:
Use a tapered core on the punch press to expand the pipe end to the required size and shape.
2. Roller method:
Place a core in the pipe and push the outer periphery with a roller for round edge processing.
3. Bulging method:
One method is to place rubber in the pipe and compress it with a punch on the top to make the pipe bulge out. The other method is hydraulic bulging. Liquid is filled in the middle of the pipe. The liquid pressure bulges the pipe into the required shape. Most of the production of corrugated pipes uses this method.
4. Rolling method:
Generally, no mandrel is used, which is suitable for the inner round edge of thick-walled pipes.
5. Forging method:
Use a swaging machine to punch out the end or part of the pipe to reduce the outer diameter of the pipe fitting. Commonly used swaging machines include rotary, connecting rod, and roller types.
6. Bending forming method:
There are three commonly used methods. One method is called stretching method, another method is called stamping method, and the third method is roller method. There are 3-4 rollers, two fixed rollers, and one adjustment roller. Adjust the fixed roller spacing, and the finished pipe fitting is bent.
